Riley Manufacturing is pleased to introduce the 4800C delimber, the first delimber that can be loaded from either the left or right side. This revolutionary new design makes the 4800C one of the most productive and versatile delimbers ever built. With the largest throat opening in its class (48"), the 4800C provides an easy target for single or multiple stems.
The 4800C’s unique deep V shape design, combined with the 4800C’s state of the art low profile saw box, has allowed Riley Engineers to introduce the first delimber that can be loaded from either the left or right side. Steel tube extensions are raised and locked on the left or right hand side of the delimber dependent, upon which way the logger chooses to set up his deck and bring the wood to the delimber. Additionally, as shown above, the 4800C extensions can be flaired to 34 degrees making a 90” wide target.

The 4800C features a revolutionary new knife design modeled after the processing head knife configuration that allows loggers to clean up large bundles of multiple stems or large or small single stems of pine or hardwood extremely well. The large throat and 26” log diameter circle allows for easy placement of multiple stems. While the 4800C’s circle opens to 26”, it makes a perfect circle at 18”. This unique design allows loggers the advantage of a large 26” circle for easy placement of multiple stems, with the ability to conform to a small or large single stem better than any delimber in its class.
The 4800C’s three 8” forward and two 8” reverse knives (a Riley exclusive) allows the operator to delimb trees in both directions. The extra knife length allows the blade to sever the entire limb from the tree versus cutting it halfway and ripping it off with a shorter knife configuration. The reverse knives and the extra length will improve cycle times and production while reducing stresses on the loader. The knives are mounted to a heavy-duty low profile 2” knife arm and 4.5” knife arm boss with 2” pins. The Riley knives and mounting system are built tough to ensure a long life in the woods.
